That's the question Tobias Drage Roti – still a university student at NTNU Trondheim – asked after taking his first step into the world of material flow automation, where conveyor-based solutions are most common.
Joined by Seva Karpov, Marius Hamre Nordrik and Sander Engevik, they started looking into how robotics and AI could take material flow automation into a new era of intelligent and autonomous systems.

After testing the first two prototype versions of the OmniSystem, Element Logic placed a purchase order for a pilot system at their Kløfta HQ.
The support enabled further development and testing of the next prototype versions.

After three generations of technology prototypes, it was time to put the OmniSystem through its first test under real site conditions.
Helthjem, one of Norway's largest package delivery services, ran the OmniSystem as a pilot project, where parcels were sorted to direct drop-off to postal cages.

OmniMod's technology was designed for multi-purpose and being goods-agnostic from day one. The second commercial deployment was not at another retailer like Kitch'n, but B.H. Ramberg, a 3PL provider needing a more efficient cross-docking solution.
